Salary Range: $29.56 - $29.56 Hourly
Description
The Mechanic Helper will provide assistance to the garage, performing tram and vehicle repairs. YOU MUST BE A MEMBER OR WILLING TO BECOME A MEMBER OF THE TEAMSTERS UNION.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reports to the Garage Foreman
- Repair, troubleshoot, and maintain all Fairplex Vehicles & Equipment, including rented equipment
- Repair tires on vehicles, trucks, golf carts, bicycles, and other equipment as needed
- Pick up parts and equipment as needed
- Drive a tram as needed
- Perform other duties as needed
Qualifications
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
- Must be able to operate a snorkel, scissor lift, Hyster, truck, and power equipment
- Must be able to multi-task
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB
- Must have a valid California Driver License and a clean driving record
- Must be able to move around grounds
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and place at same or different levels
- Must be able to walk, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- Must be able to climb stairs
- Must be able to use a hand-held two-way radio
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, or cold
