Salary Range: $34.09 - $34.09 Hourly
Description
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform all maintenance painting, including the interior and exterior of Fairplex buildings
- Perform all maintenance painting for benches, fences, and railings, excluding major projects in a given area, e.g. dirt tracks, turf track, backside, landscape, grandstand, storage parking, work or repair area
- Patching of holes in walls
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Must be a member of the Painters union, Local 36
- Must be able to operate an airless sprayer and truck around the public and other employees
- Must be knowledgeable in paint and chemicals
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to move around the grounds with ease
- Must be able to lift items that weigh up to 50 pounds and place at same or different levels
- Must be able to operate equipment, i.e., airless sprayer and truck
- Must be physically capable of walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling
- Must be able to climb stairs
- Must be able to use hand-held two-way radio
- Must have valid California Driver License and a clean driving record
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and day and night shifts
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions, such as heat, rain and cold
