Job Summary
OPENING DETAILS: Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day Work Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (includes 1 hour unpaid lunch) Salary Range: Schedule B - Range 009 (I) BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direct supervision of an administrative supervisor, the Behavior Interventionist plans, organizes, coordinates, and supports the implementation of comprehensive behavior plans and works directly with students in behavioral or psychological crises. The Interventionist collaborates with other educators to develop a behavioral plan and maintain treatment logs. The Interventionist monitors and redirects students' inappropriate behaviors and supports their academic performance. The Interventionist also supports the acquisition of appropriate skills and behaviors. The Interventionist also performs various clerical and supportive tasks to help students, families, and instructional staff. The Interventionist consults with other educators to expand their knowledge base and apply that knowledge to individual cases. The Interventionist may collaborate with various paraeducators by training, monitoring, supervising, and evaluating the paraprofessionals who work directly with students with special learning needs.
Requirements / Qualifications

Two years of experience working with students, including students with Autism and some demonstrated experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)-based behavior intervention techniques. Experience in observing and charting student behavioral data. Experience in implementing Intensive Behavior Intervention techniques. Experience in managing and supervising staff. HIGHLY DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree from an accredited university; BCaBA/BCBA or the ability to obtain a BCaBA/BCBA; Certification of completion in an Applied Behavior Analysis Course Sequence from an accredited university/institution.
