What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator I Special Education Inclusive College Opportunities position at Los Angeles County Office Of Education?
THE POSITION:
As part of the California Center for Inclusive College (CCIC) grant project, the Coordinator I will work within the Division of Special Education to assist colleges and universities within Los Angeles County and statewide to expand, develop, and implement inclusive college programs. Under the direction of the Project Director II and Coordinator III, the Coordinator I will provide technical, specialized, consultative, advisory, and planning services related to the expansion and development of inclusive college programs. The Coordinator I will help plan, organize, and deliver professional development related to systems change and transition planning. The Coordinator I will help organize and plan advisory workgroup meetings. The Coordinator I will be required to provide both in-person and remote support to educators and administrators across Los Angeles County and the state. The position will also require some travel.
This position is funded through the CCIC grant.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
• Master’s in Education or a related field from an institution of higher learning accredited by one of the
six regional accreditation associations as recognized by the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation.
• Five or more years K-12 teaching/coaching/administrative experience.
• Experience working with adult learners with disabilities in a post-secondary setting; familiarity
with best practices in training and/or coaching adults.
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE:
Must possess all of the following:
• A valid Special Education Credential or Education Specialist Credential with an Autism authorization.
• A full English Learner Authorization Clad or equivalent.
• An Administrative Services Credential or Certificate of Eligibility.
• An Ideal candidate will also hold a Multiple Subject or Single Subject Teaching Credential.
Salary : $9,719 - $11,370
