THE POSITION:
The Coordinator III – Psychiatric Social Worker coordinates mental health services to youth in LACOE’s School Mental Health program. Under the direction of the Project Director III, Mental Health and School Counseling, this position will supervise school behavioral health professionals and interns, support establishing and strengthening mental health partnerships within LACOE, assess and analyze systems to improve timely access to services for underserved populations, and oversee and support training to staff, districts on the essential components to providing comprehensive and multi-tiered schoolbased services. under the supervision of the Director of the Community Schools

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of two years’ experience as a social worker providing services for school aged children in a school setting.
And
Must have practiced psychotherapy during at least two (2) years out of the last five (5) years OR provided direct supervision to ASWs, Associate Professional Clinical Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapist Trainees, or Associate Marriage and Family Therapists who perform psychotherapy during at least two (2) years out of the last five (5) years.
EDUCATION:
A master’s degree in social work (required)
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE:
Must hold ALL of the following:
• A current and active California Administrative Credential.
• A current and active Pupil Personnel Services credential in social work and child welfare and attendance.
• A current California Clinical Social Worker License in good standing that is not under
suspension or probation. Must have held an active license for two (2) years out of the last five (5) years.
