$9520 to $11793 Monthly

Under general direction, provides technical expertise and consulting to the LACOE Head Start and Early Learning Division and its delegate agencies in essential areas of development and learning used by delegate agencies to establish school readiness goals for children, monitor children's progress, align curricula, and conduct program planning; provides support in the content, structure, and delivery of health services for children and families enrolled in the Early Head Start, Head Start, or State Preschool programs; in coordination with the Head Start Delegate Liaison Team Leader, provides technical direction in the establishment of new health programs, monitoring, redesigning, and updating of established programs, and staff development.

- Community Care Licensing (Title 22) regulations
- Facility health and safety practices
- Analyzing & Interpreting Data – Drawing meaning and conclusions from quantitative or qualitative data

Education: A master's degree in nursing, nurse science, health education, maternal and child health, public health administration, or a field closely related to the job requirements of this classification, from an institution of higher learning accredited by a regional accrediting organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Experience: Three years of experience administering or coordinating child and family health services in a multi-disciplinary setting, including one year of experience in administering or coordinating health services to children under 10 years old.
Additional Requirements: A Physician's Assistant, Registered Nurse, or Nurse Practitioner license is desired. A valid California driver's license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to obtain transportation between job sites is required.
Hybrid remote schedules may be available. To ensure the health and safety of its staff, LACOE may require employees to provide evidence of full vaccination against COVID-19.
Selection Process
Candidates who meet the minimum requirements above will be invited to participate in an examination that may consist of a Technical Project and a Structured Interview.

Candidates who pass all exam parts are ranked according to overall exam score and placed on an eligibility (hiring) list. Vacant positions are filled from the top three ranks.
