Literacy Specialist Teacher

THE POSITION: The Literacy Specialist Teacher will provide supplemental intensive instruction in reading and writing using evidenced-based practices to increase the achievement of identified students. This teacher may provide professional development regarding the reading intervention program and instructional practices. Welcome to the Los Angeles County Office of Education! Education: A Master’s degree in education or similar field from an institution of higher learning accredited by one of the six regional accreditation associations as recognized by the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE Must posses all of the following: • A Single Subject or Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with a full English Learner Authorization (CLAD / BCLAD or equivalent required). • A Reading Certificate or Reading Credential.

Salary : $58,298 - $109,472
