Job Summary
DESCRIPTION The Preschool Teacher is responsible for implementing daily educational and faith based activities, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, and helping children develop social, cognitive, and motor skills. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, patient, and dedicated to fostering a positive learning experience for preschool-aged children. Classroom size will not exceed eighteen (18) preschool-age children pursuant to Section 101216.3. SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS ? Maintain State of California Preschool License requirements and State of California Health and Welfare Codes. ? Implement and adhere to the Preschool Curriculum to ensure a structured and effective learning environment. ? Manage classroom inventory, including educational materials and supplies. ? Develop and initiate age appropriate activities by working with individual student or small groups of students (e.g. games, art, music, science, language, nutrition, assessments, etc.) for the purpose of presenting and/or reinforcing learning concepts and by caring for student's needs. ? Implement lesson plans and instructional activities. ? Help manage the classroom environment, ensuring it remains organized and safe. ? Supervise and engage with children during daily routines, including playtime, mealtime, and transitions. ? Provide one-on-one support to children who need additional help with tasks or learning activities. ? Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere to promote social and emotional development. ? Help children with basic needs such as toileting, handwashing, and personal hygiene. ? Observe and monitor children’s progress, behavior, and development, reporting any concerns to the Preschool Teacher. ? Lead in open communications with Parents or Guardians about their child’s progress and behavior. ? Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION ? 12 units ECE/CD and/or current enrollment in an ECE/CD class at a regionally accredited college or university. ? Including semester units in each of the following core areas: Child/Human growth and development. Child, family, and community or child and family relations. Programs and curriculum CLEARANCES Finger Background Clearance, Immunization Record, and TB.
