What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Director III - Community Schools Initiative position at Los Angeles County Office Of Education?
The Project Director III, Community Schools Initiative (CSI), will provide leadership and coordination for the technical assistance, specialized, consultative, and support to school district and school site leaders as it relates to the planning and implementation of the community schools framework, particularly in supporting the coordination of county-level governmental, non profit community-based organizations, and other external partnerships to support community school implementation. Under the direction of the CSI Director III, this position will provide leadership support for the Community Schools Initiative, which aims to disrupt inequities and break the cycle of poverty by leveraging assets to transform schools into community hubs. The Project Director III will support with the development of interest in and engagement around the community schools framework, including integrated supports, authentic parent and community engagement, expanded, enriched and culturally responsive instruction and collaborative leadership. This position will provide leadership in the provision of technical assistance for school districts and schools. The Project Director III will work closely with school and school district leaders who are in the planning and implementation phases of community schools. Under general administrative direction, the Project Director III makes decisions of critical consequence, impacting daily operations of the coordination and technical assistance for the implementation of community schools. This position has supervisory responsibility for planning, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating the quality and quantity of the work performed by management, technical, and clerical employees within the division. Experience:
Comprehensive, directly related, and progressive experience, which includes three or more years as a teacher or support service provider.
And
Three years of educational administrative experience. Administrative experience may include school, district and/or county- level administrative positions in K-12 education.
Education: A Master’s degree in education, social work, counseling or a closely related field from an institution of higher learning accredited by one of the six regional accreditation associations as recognized by the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation.
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE
• Possess and maintain a valid Administrative Services Credential.
• Possess and maintain valid K-12 Teaching Credential or Pupil Personnel Services Credential.
Salary : $11,529 - $13,487
