Overview of the Role:
The Division of Curriculum and Instructional Services is seeking a full-time Senior Program
Specialist – Math Instructional Coach to support teaching and learning at Los Padrinos. This role is to implement an instructional coaching model aimed at closing the student achievement gap and accelerating learning for all students by strengthening teacher capacity through the use of effective instructional practices. The Senior Program Specialist will increase the quality and effectiveness of classroom instruction by using the gradual release model which may include but is not limited to collaborating with teachers, modeling instruction, co-planning lessons, coteaching, and providing descriptive actionable feedback through the digiCOACH platform. The Senior Program Specialist will apply evidence-based coaching to build teacher capacity, ultimately fostering improved classroom instruction. The Senior Program Specialist will also serve as the STAR Test Coordinator, assist school administrators with Professional Learning Communities, and provide Road to Success Academy (RTSA) curriculum planning support. Experience:
Five or more years of directly-related and progressive teaching experience.
Education:
A Master’s degree related to any one of the following areas: education, curriculum, leadership,
Math, Science or or secondary education from an institution of
higher learning accredited by one of the six regional accreditation associations as recognized by
the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation.
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE
Must possess and maintain a valid Single Subject Math or Science Teaching credential with
a full English Learner authorization (Clad or equivalent).
Salary : $9,485 - $11,096
