Job Summary
Special Day Class Teachers are responsible to the Director of Special Education and the site administrator. Special Day Class Teachers provide direct instruction to and coordinate the instructional programs for students with exceptional needs enrolled in the special day class programs at each school. Provides a basic core program for learning handicapped students consistent with state education code requirements.
Requirements / Qualifications
Required: Special Education Credential authorizing Mild /MOD, and English Learner. Please attach to your application a detailed copy of appropriate credential showing EL authorization, resume and three letters of recommendation. Vacaville Unified School District teachers have first priority

Salary commensurate with experience and education. Certificated faculty members are compensated on the VTA salary scale for teachers. Faculty members receive a generous package of medical benefits, and enrollment in the California STRS retirement plan.
