Job Summary
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Implementing and integrating the Winship-Robbins approved curriculum and the California State Standards
-Implementing appropriate classroom strategies for students with special needs and/or English Learners
-Working collaboratively with the school district administration and teaching staff
-Making effective use of curriculum materials, instructional supplies, equipment, building facilities, and school grounds
-Developing class assignments for all students to encourage optimal learning
-Developing and maintaining student records and evaluating academic progress
-Developing procedures which maximize a positive working relationship between the student's home and the school in cooperation with the parents and the school district staff
-Following established procedures for school disaster plans and fire drills
-Developing organizational procedures consistent with the established policies of the Winship-Robbins Elementary School District for the health, safety, discipline and conduct of the students
-Demonstrating sensitivity to various family and cultural patterns in planning classroom activities
-Maintaining an attractive room environment appropriate to grade level and maintaining high standards of classroom neatness
-Supervising students in and out of classroom activities during assigned work time, and accepting responsibility for maintaining behavior standards school wide
-Participating in and supporting activities that are conducive to staff rapport and morale as well as positive school-community relationships
-Participating in staff meetings to facilitate communication and collaboration among staff members
-Other duties as assigned
Requirements / Qualifications
Must hold a valid California Multiple Subject credential Interested applicants must submit the following to be considered: • Completed Ed-Join application • Letter of Introduction • Current resume • Copy of credential or letter of Intern Eligibility • Copies of transcripts showing degree(s) • Letters of Recommendation
• Candidate must have at least 24 units in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Childhood Development, or both • Professional experience in a classroom setting with preschool-age children comparable to the 24 units of education described in bullet 1 (comparability determined by the local employing agency)
