POSITION SUMMARY
The Part-Time - Athletic Trainer assists the LAFC Academy Athletic Training Staff in managing the day-to-day sports medicine operations for the Club's Academy.
This role reports to the Academy Academic Trainer but works collaboratively with the Academy and LAFC 2 Medical and Performance teams.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Serve as supplemental, hourly (up to 30 per week), resource for the Academy.
- Collaborate to manage the healthcare and safety of players including, but not limited to, first aid and emergency care, on-site injury evaluation, application of appropriate modalities, and as well as conducting rehabilitation, including all pertinent best practices with regards to the care of minors.
- Assists in providing information to full-time staff to maintaining a complete and up to date roster of player health and participation records in the League provided electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Provide coverage for home training sessions and matches as scheduled.
- Keep athletic training room and clinic area safe, clean, and organized when using.
- Comply with all MLS NEXT medical policies and protocols.
- Comply with OSHA standards with regards to blood borne pathogens.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor / Management.
QUALIFICATIONS
SALARY RANGE
At LAFC, we carefully consider a wide range of factors to determine a fair and equitable compensation package. The final offer amount will consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to skill sets; relevant experience and training. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure guidelines, the overall compensation for this role is $28.85 per hour.
