What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hype Squad Team Member position at Los Angeles Rams?

Following the opening of SoFi Stadium, and more recently, winning Super Bowl LVI, the Los Angeles Rams are at an exciting stage of growth and are looking for passionate individuals that have the desire to be a part of something bigger.
We are looking for PROFESSIONAL hype people – those who can become experts in multiple chants and cheers, have experience with fan interaction, and can be world class ambassadors of the Los Angeles Rams at our year-round events. On game days, our hype team will welcome fans in the concourse, start chants and cheers throughout the game, support our season ticket member experiences and staff our experiential activations. This is not for those who just want to watch the game, but for entertainers who want to be a part of the game day action!
The Big Horn Hype team members will also support our local and regional community, partnership, and corporate events throughout the year. We are looking for outgoing, energetic, enthusiastic, and reliable members to become an extension of the Rams brand. Most importantly we are looking for team players who want to foster a positive community. This is a part-time game day and event position for entertainment industry professionals and natural born leaders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Expertly represent the world class Los Angeles Rams as an enthusiastic and charismatic Brand Ambassador on game days at SoFi Stadium and at off-site events (i.e. special events, community and school events, partner activations, tournaments, festivals, etc.)
- Provide the highest quality of customer service and above-and-beyond care to all fans and event attendees
- Become a specialist in all game day chants and rituals; be an energetic yell leader all game long, effectively educating and inspiring all fans from kick off to Rams win
- Perform confidently in front of 70,000 fans in the Countdown to Kickoff show and other on-camera moments at home games
- Responsible for installation, set-up, and teardown of select interactive elements
- Responsible for operational needs of all Rams activations and experiences at year-round events including but not limited to:
- Execute fan activations, inflatables, photobooths, etc.
- Distribution of premium items and giveaways
- Check-in and registration
- Wayfinding and guest flow
- Support talent and season ticket member management and interact with fans and communicate general information
- Responsible for fan engagement and data cultivation via tablets at select events
- Responsible for completing post-event wrap-up forms after select events
- Support administrative duties on an as-needed basis such as inventory and merchandise organization
- Assist with other tasks on an as-needed basis
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have reliable transportation to and from all shifts
- Previous marketing/promotional/event/entertainment/street team/brand ambassador experience preferred
- Must be passionate about the Los Angeles Rams and the game of football
- Must display high energy and a positive attitude while always remaining polished and professional
- Requires outstanding communication, timeliness and reliability
- Able to take direction and independently problem solve in a fast-paced work environment
- Exercises strong leadership skills with the ability to be a team player and enjoy working in a team environment
- Can work a flexible schedule – Must be able to work most home games, nights/weekends and holidays as required
- Requires prolonged standing; ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to work outdoor in various temperature environments
- This is an on-call position. There is no guaranteed number of hours per week and scheduling is on an as-needed basis.
- Comfortable performing in front of large crowds
- Be available to work 75% of Los Angeles Rams home games and events
- Must be able to attend an in-person training in June in Los Angeles
Salary: Starting at $18/hr. with Captains eligible for higher rate
