RESTAURANT CASHIER:
We are looking for a part-time Closing Cashier to work at our famous Food Stand in the West Adams area of Los Angeles (east of Culver City)! This is a beautiful, fun, and active property, featuring the local favorite Johnny's Bar, which hosts large private events in addition to small groups of friends celebrating the day, and often includes DJs and live bands as part of the evening's entertainment.
We are looking for friendly and personable candidates who love helping out the team, working in a fast-paced and fun environment, and providing great customer service - having previous experience in the food and beverage industry is a wonderful plus!
This is a part-time position. We are looking for open availability throughout the week for evening shifts, with shifts scheduled roughly from 4:30pm-12:30am or 10:00am-5:00pm. All candidates must be available to work weekends in general, but we do have weekday shifts we may need filled as well. All candidates must be 18 years or older as the Johnny's Pastrami Stand serves alcohol to guests. Pay includes minimum wage TIPS (pooled or "shared" between all team members at the Johnny's Stand).
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and take orders.
- Become knowledgeable about all menu items and restaurant services.
- Accurately prepare and package orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow established safety and sanitation procedures for food handling and preparation.
- Monitor inventory levels and ingredient shortages and out-of-stocks.
- Complete all assigned housekeeping and property maintenance tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
Experience:
- Be a fast learner, self-motivated, and reliable.
- Have proven work experience in casual dining restaurants or the food service industry.
- Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume.
- Food Handlers/Safe Serv certification required after hire.
- Be able to carry up to 50 lbs. and stand for at least 6 hours during a shift.
