Los Angeles Superior Court is the largest unified trial court in the United States. Its 580 judges and commissioners work in one of the 36 facilities within the Court's 12 judicial districts and are supported by more than 4,800 full-time Court employees. ABOUT THE POSITION
Warehouse Workers - Distribution Services (official classification Materials Assistant) perform a variety of manual activities and specialized functions, which include a range of physical tasks involving the movement of loaded material pallets jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse and loading dock equipment. Current vacancy is based at our Monrovia Courthouse. This recruitment may be used to fill future Warehouse Worker vacancies located in Downtown Los Angeles.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
To qualify, you must meet the following option at the time of application:
Option I: Graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent – AND – six (6) months of experience in receiving, storing, issuing, shipping, or inventorying supplies, equipment or property
Option II: Graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent – AND – six (6) months of experience in specialized office clerical work in connection with procurement activities*.
Procurement activities is defined as coordinating material purchases, deliveries and verifying inventory.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will possess the following desirable qualifications:
- Active and valid forklift certification
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Extensive experience directly performing work in receiving, storing, issuing, shipping, or inventorying supplies, equipment or property including experience with experience with a warehouse management system
EXAMINATION INFORMATION
PART I: Qualifying evaluation of education, training and experience based upon submitted application materials.
PART II: Online examination, weighted 100% covering, conscientiousness, composure, drive for success, service professionalism, following instructions, and customer focus, and basic computer literacy.
