Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Busser/food runner to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our dining area is clean, organized, and welcoming for our guests. As a Busser, you will assist servers and contribute to an exceptional dining experience by maintaining the cleanliness of tables and dining areas while supporting the overall operations of the restaurant.
*A valid Food Handler Certification is required*
Responsibilities
- Clear and clean tables promptly after guests finish their meals to prepare for new customers.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down dining areas for service, including arranging table settings and ensuring proper placement of utensils and glassware.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining room, including sweeping, mopping, and organizing service areas.
- Support servers by refilling drinks, delivering food items, and responding to guest requests as needed.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the restaurant environment.
- Inform restaurant staff about customers’ feedback or requests (e.g. when they ask for the check)
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both guests and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
