Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Barback to join our team at LOS CUCOS MEXICAN CAFE. As a Barback, you will play a key role in ensuring the bar operates smoothly and efficiently by supporting our bartenders, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and replenishing stock as needed. Responsibilities:
- Assist bartenders by ensuring the bar is well-stocked with glassware, garnishes, and supplies.
- Replenish liquor, beer, and other bar ingredients as needed.
- Keep bar areas clean, including wiping counters, cleaning spills, and removing empty glasses.
- Collect and wash glassware, utensils, and other items used by bartenders and customers.
- Assist in setting up and closing down the bar before and after shifts.
- Restock ice and ensure the bar is well-supplied during busy hours.
- Follow safety and hygiene standards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform additional tasks as requested by bartenders or management.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a barback or in a similar role is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
