TITLE: Recreational Therapist MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in recreational therapy from an accredited college or university New Mexico Public Education Department Licensure in Recreational Therapy
OVERVIEW OF JOB DESCRIPTION: To implement Individualized Education Programs goals that support students' abilities ot participate ni meaningful recreation and other activity based interventions ni the educational setting
Performance Responsibilities
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Work year wil be ni accordance with current schedule for 191-day employees. Work day is an eight-hour day. Salary to be determined by individual training and experience level on current Certified Support Staff Salary Schedule.
EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board of Education's policy on evaluation of certified personnel.

- Follow local, state and federal law and adhere to the Public Education Department and Local School Board Policy.
- Maintain confidentiality of student information.
- Serve as a resource to school staff members ni the area of recreation and activity based therapy.
- 4 Perform appropriate evaluations of children referred for recreational therapy.
- 5 Provide individual and/or group therapy ot students.
- Assist in the development of Individualized Education Programs to meet individual student's
- Follow all Technical Evaluation and Assessment Manual (TEAM) guidelines and recommendations.
- Perform other relevant tasks as assigned.
