Job Summary :

Hosts are required to facilitate reservations, seat and greet guests, supervise the floor, create server assignments, communicate between FOH and BOH, communicate with the service team, and perform any other duties as assigned.

Duties & Responsibilities :

Assure proper set up of all host areas
Maintain knowledge of current menu, daily specials and beverage items
Warmly and graciously greet all guests immediately upon arrival
Seat guests in an efficient manner and manage table turn times
Answer the phone, provide accurate information and take proper messages
Book & confirm reservations while following Open Table guidelines
Keep menus clean, organized & up to date
Assist servers with bussing & setting tables
Ensure that all appliances, fixtures, and fittings are safe and work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, and report any concerns to the the Campo Management Team
Ensure that all company policies, the mission statement and departmental objectives are followed and utilized at all time

Essential Job Functions :

Schedule dining reservations

Assist customers with seating arrangements

Present food or beverage information or menus to customers

Provide customers with general information or assistance

Communicate with customers to resolve complaints or ensure satisfaction

Collect dirty dishes or other tableware

Clean food service areas

Stock serving stations or dining areas with food or supplies

Operate cash registers

Package food or supplies

Requirements :

1-2 years in service oriented FOH role, preferably 2-3 years of experience in a Host or similar role

Strong communication and listening skills

Must be able to sit, stand, bend, squat, reach, and walk 8 to 10 hours a day

Able to grasp, lift, carry 30 lbs. in short intervals throughout the day

Must be willing and able to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

High School diploma or GED
