Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso, and other beverages in compliance with our standards and recipes.
- Maintain a clean and organized coffee bar, including keeping equipment, cups, and supplies well-stocked and sanitized.
- Greet and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, taking and fulfilling their coffee orders promptly.
- Assist the bartenders with setting up the bar area, ensuring that it is well-stocked with liquor, mixers, and garnishes.
- Work closely with the bartenders to prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Keep an eye on inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the management team.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring the bar area remains compliant with health codes.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, providing guests with receipts as needed.
- Handle any customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the manager when necessary.
- Contribute to a positive team atmosphere by collaborating with other staff members and providing support as required.
- Previous experience as a barista or in a related customer service role is preferred.
- Knowledge of coffee and espresso preparation techniques.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Able to succeed as part of a large team, in small groups, or independently.
- Able to think on your feet and under pressure whilst maintaining a positive outlook and attention to detail.
- Must display a professional appearance and attitude.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Must be at least 18 years of age, as this role involves handling alcoholic beverages.
- A strong work ethic and the ability to work early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic knowledge of bartending or a willingness to learn is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Hand dexterity for operating coffee equipment and handling cash.
- Stamina to work during busy shifts and handle multiple tasks
