Job Summary and Qualifications

The Nursing Supervisor is a registered nurse who reports directly to the Director, Nursing Administration. The Nursing Supervisor manages patient placement and throughput 24/7 and ensures appropriate staffing in conjunction with staffing office coordinators and nursing leadership. The Nursing Supervisor functions as the on-site administrator during times when the members of the administrative team are not present.

• You will demonstrate competence in patient placement and transfers by evaluating clinical data and discharge criteria to monitor admissions and transfer for appropriate level of care.
• You will coordinate, communicate, and document activities of daily bed management/bed huddle meeting.
• You will staff the units safely, appropriately, and according to patient needs.
• You will maintain awareness of events affecting patient care by maintaining communication with managers, including walking rounds and prioritize/coordinate patient care needs with nursing and ancillary departments, intervening appropriately as necessary.
• You will monitor the staff’s compliance with developing, implementing, and modifying the patient’s plan of care according to the patient’s progress.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• Current California Registered Nurse License required.
• Current ACLS and BCLS certification required.
• 5 years experience in clinical practice
