Position Details
• GIS Analyst I or II
• Location: Gainesville, FL
• Salary Range: $55,000 - $75,000 (depending on experience)
• Bonuses: Eligible for an annual bonus and an IMPACT Conference bonus
• Benefits: Health insurance, SEP-IRA contributions, paid vacation, and 9 paid holidays per year
Key Responsibilities
• GIS Analysis & Mapping: Design and execute GIS projects, using spatial data to analyze crime trends and support loss prevention strategies.
• Research Support: Assist with surveys, experiments, focus groups, and interviews to enhance retail security research.
• Data Management: Organize and analyze datasets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with research standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with internal research teams and external partners to drive project success.
• Technical Support: Provide GIS training and expertise to the research team while staying updated on the latest GIS advancements.
• Reporting: Create clear and compelling research reports with maps, graphs, and data-driven insights.
What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, or a related field
• Proficiency in GIS software (especially ArcGIS)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Bonus: Experience in retail or loss prevention
