What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Staff- Part Time position at Lost Valley Lake Resort?
Lost Valley Lake Resort is currently hiring staff for our Security Department. This job requires you to have an extremely high moral standard and be a responsible, mature individual. You must have an exemplary background check with no criminal record or drug history. Pay differential for over nights shifts.

This is a part-time position requiring a high degree of flexibility. Employees will be on call and expected to fill in as needed, with a maximum of 32 hours per week. Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
Duties:
Secure entrances including doors, windows, and gates
Monitor the arrival and departure of employees and visitors
Circulate through the resort to help prevent or remove disturbances
Inspect security systems and equipment regularly
Adjust security systems as needed
Drive provided vehicles around the resort Answer alarms speedily and investigate problems on the property
Answer telephones and relay messages
Act appropriately in the case of an emergency
Call the police or other emergency personnel when needed
Fill out reports
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Be able to maintain accurate records
Effectively comprehend numerous policies, procedures, and concepts in order to respond appropriately to various situations
Communicate effectively with others
Walk up and down stairs and stand for long periods of time
Work outside in a variety of extreme weather conditions
Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Must have basic computer skills
Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally
Friendly greeting, smiles and professional attitude dedicated to serving the needs of our staff and guests
Must have a reliable source of transportation
Must pass our employment screening drug test
Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required

Employment with Lost Valley Lake Resort is contingent upon a successful background screen and pre-employment drug test. Applicants who have failed a pre-employment screen or have been terminated from Lost Valley Lake Resort are ineligible for employment consideration for 12 months. You will become eligible for consideration 12 months from the date of your incident (pre-employment screen or termination). As a condition of employment, the successful candidate must utilize direct deposit for payroll purposes. Driving records are required for all new employees regardless of the position's driving requirements.
