PURPOSE OF POSITION :
A Cook works under the Lead Cook / Sous Chef’s instructions in preparing and cooking menu items provided to customers. He / she is also responsible for keeping the workplace clean.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE :
EDUCATION : Relevant bachelor's degree or higher preferred
EXPERIENCE : Cooking experience of 1 year or more
CREDENTIALS : Culinary certificate a must. Advanced culinary certificate preferred.
- Must speak English fluent enough to be able to deal with customers and teammates
- Must possess general knowledge of the food and culture of a given field
- Must have general knowledge of contemporary American cuisine with Pacific Northwest influences
- Responsible for preparing ingredients for production according to recipes / directions
- Assists with food production
- Must be a good communicator and work well with other teammates and kitchen managers
- Must show basic computer proficiency such as with MS Office
- Must demonstrate strong knife skills
- Must demonstrate an understanding of, and skills to use, kitchen facility, utility, equipment and kitchenware
- Must know applicable laws regarding food safety and general kitchen operation
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Excellent organizational skills.

- Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork.

- Ability to work a flexible schedule : weekends, holidays, AM, PM, overnight and overtime when
needed.
