Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and organized Technical Planner to join our Maintenance Department at Lotus Bakeries. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling and supervising all preventive and corrective maintenance work orders performed by Lotus technicians or external parties. Your goal is to achieve maximum machine availability together with the technicians. An additional focus is directed on continuous improvement and ensuring the technical department operates according to BRC audit standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and schedule of work orders
- Planning and scheduling of preventive and corrective maintenance according to the production planning
- Prepare necessary resources (parts, machine, people, permits,…) for the execution of the work order.
- Draw up work instructions for preventive and corrective maintenance jobs
- Work with the planning team to ensure accurate scheduling of necessary shutdown timelines.
- Optimize the maintenance program striving for cost-efficiency by keeping an adequate spare parts stock and a minimum of machine failures.
- Work together with 3rd parties to plan specialized work.
Supervise Jobs
- Assisting technicians where necessary to ensure work orders are performed according to Lotus standards and that instructions are written in detail.
- Checking quality of performed jobs and offer feedback and training to technicians.
Implement and update preventive maintenance plans
- Minimizing the corrective maintenance by an accurate implementation and completion of preventive maintenance plans.
- Drawing up new and adjust existing preventive maintenance plans based on supplier regulations and findings from corrective maintenance and breakdowns.
Implement a continuous improvement culture
- Drawing up and implementing machine improvements based on frequent production outages to increase process efficiency together with technicians.
- Implementing safety and quality upgrades.
Corrective maintenance
- Assisting technicians with production breakdowns in order to solve the problem quickly and ensure a rapid start up of production.
- Organizing urgent orderering of spare parts and repairs by own technicians or external parties
- Become the Ultimo subject-matter-expert and deliver training to supervisors and technicians
Quality Administration
- Managing the implementation of various (legal) calibrations and inspections for HACCP and audit purposes.
- Manage cycle count program with PM team for accurate inventory and reorder points.
Education (degree)
Minimum graduate technical degree
Specific knowledge
- Knowledge of SAP and Ultimo is a plus
- Windows Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Experience
- Troubleshooting
- Experience as technical planner, scheduler or supervisor is a plus
- Liasing with suppliers and external parties
- Technical administrative management

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
