Position Overview
The Part-Time Event Staff at Lotus House ensures seamless execution of events, providing full event management and coordination for all-inclusive packages and onsite oversight for build-your-own events. This role involves managing day-of logistics, supporting clients, and ensuring events run smoothly while representing the Lotus House standard of excellence. The candidate will work a mix of day and evening shifts.
Morning and afternoon shifts:
- Morning Shift: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
Event Coordination & Management
- Oversee day-of operations for events, including client and vendor check-ins, setup, and breakdown.
- Serve as the on-site contact for clients, vendors, and staff during events.
- Ensure all event details align with the client's vision and the venue's policies.
Staff & Vendor Oversight
- Manage event staff to ensure roles and responsibilities are carried out effectively.
- Communicate with vendors to confirm timelines and deliverables.
- Address any on-site issues promptly and professionally, ensuring events run smoothly.
Client Engagement
- Provide a welcoming and supportive environment for clients on their special day.
- Address client questions or concerns promptly and professionally during the event.
Venue Maintenance
- Monitor the venue during build-your-own events to ensure cleanliness, safety, and policy adherence.
- Perform essential post-event inspections to ensure the venue is ready for the next event.
Ideal Qualifications
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about the event and wedding industry, eager to learn, and confident in managing people and processes. This position is ideal for someone just out of college or seeking hands-on events experience.
