Position Overview: As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of the facility. This includes general repairs, preventative maintenance, and assisting with the daily operations to provide a pleasant and well-maintained environment for both residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine building maintenance including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems (e.g., lighting, appliances, plumbing, etc.).
Assist with daily upkeep of the building, including janitorial and safety checks.
Ensure that all areas of the facility are clean, safe, and well-maintained for residents and staff.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents or staff.
Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.
Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with all safety standards.
Assist with the setup and breakdown of event spaces, as needed.
Assist in ordering and maintaining supplies for maintenance-related tasks.
Participate in the facility’s emergency response plans as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in facility maintenance, construction, or related field is preferred.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.
Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.
