The Commissioning Manager role will be focused on providing commissioning services on a variety of complex manufacturing support systems to verify compliance with project design & installation specifications. The Commissioning Manager will lead a multi-disciplinary project team to execute a project specific commissioning plan which will include reviewing and verifying systems design, installation, functional performance & reliability, and conveyance to the sustaining operations team. The candidate will focus on design optimization, inter-operability of systems and system maintainability to enhance efforts building and systems performance, reliability, health, sustainability, and energy consumption reduction.
Responsibilities :
- Serve as the Owner's Representative Commissioning Manager, overseeing the integration of new systems into the owner's business processes.
- Take full responsibility for the owner's commissioning process.
Manage and update the commissioning plan for the construction phase.
Continuously improve the client's commissioning process and FAT documentation.Oversee the commissioning of cleanroom systems, toxic gas monitoring, fire / life safety, security, chemical delivery systems, mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC, and automation.Act as the liaison between the owner, contractors, and construction teams.Collaborate with construction to manage and prioritize commissioning tasks and schedules.Plan, execute, and monitor OA-ready items with the commissioning team.Manage scope look-ahead items and prioritize tasks based on factory needs.Implement and oversee quality control measures throughout the commissioning process.Conduct reviews of project requirements, design drawings, and specifications for accuracy and completeness.Perform audits, inspections, and functional testing to ensure system compliance and performance.Maintain commissioning records, including construction checklists, functional testing logs, and progress reports.Liaise with clients, contractors, and manufacturers to align on commissioning activities and expectations.Support asset handovers and assist with BSI WP task creation and execution.Serve as the single point of contact for the owner's commissioning representation.Approve air and water systems balancing and verify start-up reports through observations.Coordinate and execute functional tests for all commissioned systems.Communicate project status, issues, and recommendations to stakeholders.Schedule and lead commissioning meetings and distribute action plans.Generate commissioning specifications and develop start-up procedures with contractors.Oversee O&M manual reviews and ensure proper cataloging.Any other duties that may be assigned to your role.Skills Required :
5 years of managing commissioning personnel and the commissioning processExperience in project commissioning personnel and process management requiredExperience with facilities operationsExperience with conducting commissioning projects utilizing Cx software'sDetailed design review experience required.Detailed submittal review experience required.Ability to read and understand multi-discipline construction documents and the ability to identify potential issues contained within.Software proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Project, Word, SharePoint) and Smartsheet.Software proficiency in construction management software platforms (BIM360, Procore, Autodesk, Prolog etc.)Education / Licenses / Certifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is preferred, but not required (Equivalent field experience is acceptable)Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicableBenefits :
