Job Summary:
Lou Fusz Collision Center in Evansville, Indiana, is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Estimator Trainee to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals with an automotive and/or clerical background who are eager to learn and grow in the collision repair industry. The Estimator Trainee will assist in assessing vehicle damage, preparing repair estimates, and working with insurance companies to ensure a smooth claims process for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in inspecting and evaluating vehicle damage to determine necessary repairs.
- Learn to prepare detailed repair estimates using industry-standard software.
- Work directly with customers to provide excellent service and explain the repair process.
- Communicate with insurance companies to process claims, provide documentation, and ensure approvals.
- Maintain accurate records of repair estimates, parts orders, and claim statuses.
- Assist in coordinating repair schedules with technicians and parts suppliers.
- Support office clerical tasks, including data entry, customer follow-ups, and file management.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, insurance requirements, and repair techniques.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Automotive industry or clerical background preferred. Prior experience in a collision center is a plus.
- Customer Service: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and insurance representatives.
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to assess vehicle damage accurately and document repair needs effectively.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of automotive parts and repair processes is preferred. Training will be provided.
- Computer Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Office and ability to learn estimating software.
- Organization & Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple claims, estimates, and customer interactions efficiently.
