Job Summary
The Senior Project Management Specialist will be responsible for leading and managing the development and execution of multiple complex projects within the Department of Family Services (DFS) to achieve departmental priorities and efficiencies. These projects may involve, but are not limited to, implementing new and/or enhancing existing systems, processes, technologies, and capabilities. This position will work closely with the Project Management Specialist to coordinate efforts across projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and maintenance project plans and artifacts through the entire project lifecycle, driving projects to completion
Work with stakeholders to develop needs assessments, user stories, and requirements for projects
Manage project scope, deliverables, schedule, and budget
Coordinate project team activities and technical support
Conduct stakeholder engagement and communications planning
Identify and mitigate project risks
Conduct research and data analysis related to the development and/or execution of projects
Prepare detailed reports on project progress and performance, while keeping departmental leadership informed of key updates and challenges
Establish and maintain working relationships with County officials, employees, contractors, vendors, the public, and other project stakeholders
Lead project meetings and facilitate collaborative discussions, address concerns, and foster consensus among diverse groups
Develop and deliver presentations
Liaise between departmental leadership and project stakeholders
Utilize technology to increase project effectiveness and efficiency
Proficiency in Salesforce and comparable systems
Complete special projects as assigned, independently or as a member of a team. Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.Salary $75,679.72 - $132,439.51 Recruitment #25-01148

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in a field related to the assigned department; five (5) years of project management experience with at least one (1) year on advanced level projects; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
Previous experience working in government or public sector community service; knowledge of community-based organizations and Family Services.Job Contingencies and Special Requirements
Pass pre-employment criminal, credit, and DMV background checks. Fingerprinting may be required depending on department assignment. (Valid driver s license required and driving records may be reviewed annually for continued qualification).
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desired.
Salary : $75,680 - $132,440
