Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Peer Recovery Specialist, located in Leesburg, VA. The Peer Recovery Specialist will provide peer-based mentoring and support to individuals in recovery. Daily tasks include offering guidance, conducting training sessions, coordinating with insurance providers, and facilitating communication between staff and clients. The role also involves educating clients about addiction recovery and utilizing interpersonal skills to foster a supportive environment.
Qualifications
- Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities
- Experience in Addiction Recovery support and mentoring
- Knowledge of Insurance coordination and verification processes
- Experience in providing Training and educational sessions
- Compassionate and empathetic approach with clients
- Ability to work independently on-site
- Certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional educational qualifications in related fields are beneficial
