Responsibilities
- Manage the accounts receivable team to ensure efficient processing of invoices and collections.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving collection processes and reducing outstanding balances.
- Review and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy in billing and payments.
- Collaborate with other departments, including accounts payable and corporate accounting, to streamline financial operations.
- Prepare reports on accounts receivable metrics for management review.
- Conduct training for staff on best practices in accounts receivable management and medical collections.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies regarding financial transactions.
- Utilize software for managing accounts receivable functions.
Skills
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience in public accounting preferred.
- Excellent negotiation skills to effectively communicate with clients regarding outstanding payments.
- Familiarity with telemarketing techniques as they relate to collections is a plus.
- Experience in corporate accounting practices is beneficial.
