JOB SUMMARY
Provides occupational therapy services appropriate to patients’ needs, utilizing necessary resources to ensure optimal patient care
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
1. Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy school with bachelor’s or entry-level master’s degree or verification by the AOTA of equivalent training in another country
2. Current occupational therapy license in State of Illinois
3. CPR certification
4. Basic English language competence for verbal and written communication in English language
5. Effective interpersonal skills
Pay Rate $45 - $50
JOB DUTIES
1. Demonstrates the Resilience Healthcare Customer Service Values, which are key in providing quality service to patients and customers.
2. Completes Occupational Therapy Assessments as ordered to assess the behavioral and cognitive function of the patients.
3. Participates in the development of the Multidisciplinary Treatment Plan by identifying goals and interventions to decrease symptoms and assist the patient to improve or maintain his cognitive and/or functioning level.
4. Makes recommendations on the use of assistive devices and adaptations in the environment to meet the patient’s needs.
5. Conducts group activities that improve the patients’ social skills.
6. Provides feedback to the physicians and the treatment team on the patient’s progress in attaining treatment goals.
7. Participates in discharge planning by making recommendations for aftercare that will enhance the patient’s function level.
8. Provide support to caregivers and family through patient and family teaching and enhancing their coping skills. *Serves as a resource for other staff members, sharing professional knowledge and clinical expertise.
