What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector position at Louis Allis LLC?
General Job Description :
- Inspect products in accordance with established industry specifications and internal specifications. Inspections will be performed at designated hold points throughout the course of a project.
- Read and understand prints.
- Use inside and outside micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools.
- Determine the root cause for problems LA deems necessary to solve.
- Inspect items and raw materials received from suppliers.
- Work with Shop Management to help develop, continually modify, and establish in-house quality specifications and procedures.
- Play a role in developing / modifying shop forms as needed.
- Assess customer requirements and ensure that these are met.
- Notify the Quality Manager of non-conforming items.
- Complete Non-Conformance Reports and Corrective Action Reports.
- Maintain files for all reports.
- Record, analyze, and distribute statistical information pertaining to quality.
- Help to identify training needs.
