Quality Assurance Inspector
A Quality Assurance Inspector is required to perform inspections in accordance with established industry specifications and internal standards. This involves examining products at designated hold points throughout a project.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to read and understand technical prints, as well as utilize measuring tools such as inside and outside micrometers and calipers.
A key aspect of this role is determining the root cause of problems and identifying necessary solutions. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for inspecting items and raw materials received from suppliers and collaborating with Shop Management to develop and modify quality specifications and procedures.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this position, as the candidate will need to assess customer requirements and ensure they are met. Non-conforming items must be notified to the Quality Manager, and reports completed accurately.
Maintenance of files, record-keeping, and distribution of statistical information pertaining to quality are also critical responsibilities. The Quality Assurance Inspector will also play a role in identifying training needs within the team.
