Job Description
The Accounting and Finance Intern will support the department in various administrative and finance-related tasks. This role is designed to provide practical work experience in the fields of accounting and finance, while also contributing to the company’s overall financial health. The intern will work closely with the team, gaining insights into financial management, reporting, and analysis.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Help with the analysis of financial data and the creation of financial models.
- Support in the reconciliation of bank statements and other financial transactions.
- Participate in audits and prepare audit documentation.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
- Collaborate with other departments to collect financial information and ensure accuracy.
- Support the finance team in various projects and initiatives as needed.
- Additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Education/Professional Certifications/Licenses
Required qualification:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (including any physical demands)
Basic qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with spreadsheet and word-processing software (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet strict monthly deadlines.
- Proactively approaches job duties and potential problems.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
