Leadership Position - Grain Industry Operations

Job Description
Key Responsibilities

• Determine work priorities, optimize labor and facility equipment utilization through effective scheduling of rail, barge, and truck unloads/loads.
• Coordinate vessel hours of operation and manage labor for various teams.
• Act as liaison between General Superintendent, SHE Manager, Maintenance Superintendent, Logistics, and Control Room.
• Manage and review vessel and rail demurrage and dispatch accounts, ensuring efficient operations.
• Maintain elevator grain quality and inventory position, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Additional Responsibilities

• Fill in for Shift Supervisors as needed, providing support to ensure seamless operations.
• Act as Elevator Superintendent in the superintendent's absence, demonstrating leadership skills.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining safety, corporate, and environmental programs, promoting a culture of compliance.

Qualifications
Experience

• Five years plus of experience in the grain industry with increasing responsibility in mechanical and electrical maintenance, grain handling, and supervision.
• Prior supervisory experience, including management of grain elevators.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Expert knowledge of OSHA, Food Safety, Grain Standards, and Environmental regulations.
• Ability to manage change within the workforce, promoting adaptability and resilience.
• Team building and conflict resolution skills, essential for effective collaboration.
• Effective communication and computer operations skills, necessary for success in this role.

Working Conditions
This role involves working in a climate-controlled office environment, outdoor areas, and exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions. Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required at times.
