Position Overview
NTA Enterprise Inc is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accounting Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage cost accounting for imported products, review ancillary invoices, prepare detailed import costing worksheets, and support the Sales Team with various cost analysis reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage cost accounting for imported products.
- Review ancillary invoices in support of overseas production, assign accounting codes for payment, and track costs for import receiving.
- Prepare detailed import costing worksheets in Excel for receipt in MS Great Plains.
- Review multidimensional analysis of import production costs and perform end-of-year audit of accruals versus expenditures.
- Run profit margin Sales Analysis by customer in support of the Sales Team
- Create Cost Analysis reports in support of the Sales Team based on import cost history.
- Assist operations with customer-specific sales reporting and support documentation.
- Perform a variety of analytics using Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field – Required.
- 0 – 2 years’ experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or import/export environment.
- Experience in a manufacturing or import/export environment is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and MS Great Plains.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to lift and carry office supplies and equipment up to 20 pounds.
- Manual dexterity required for operating office equipment (e.g., computers, printers.
