Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for the dental office.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with taking vital signs and preparing patients for examinations.
- Perform basic dental procedures under the supervision of the dentist, including X-ray imaging.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
- Utilize Eaglesoft software for patient management and medical coding tasks.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, insurance options, and payment processes.
- Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in prosthodontics and endodontics.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Office Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices is essential.
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft software is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform X-ray imaging and understand medical coding practices.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
