ATHLETIC DIRECTOR
Louisa County High School
Qualified applicants are being sought for an athletic director in Louisa County Public Schools. Louisa County Public Schools serves approximately 5200 students. Louisa County is located 45 miles northwest of Richmond, 35 miles east of Charlottesville and 40 miles west of Fredericksburg.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Administers and maintains all athletic programs and provides leadership to all athletic staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Have at least three years of experience as a high school coach, athletic director or school administrator.
- Possess leadership qualities and personal characteristics necessary to work effectively with students, athletes, coaches, school staff, administrators, parents and the community.
- Demonstrated skills in building and managing budgets.
- Hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching certificate.
- Master’s degree in school administration or related sports administration preferred.
- Hold a valid Virginia drivers’ license.
LENGTH OF CONTRACT: Twelve months in accordance with the adopted School Board calendar.
ANNUAL SALARY: Based on the LCPS Administrative Salary Scale
EMPLOYMENT BEGINS: July 1, 2025
