COORDINATOR OF SPECIAL EDUCATION
Qualified applicants are being sought for a coordinator of special education in Louisa County Public Schools. Louisa County Public Schools serves approximately 5200 students. Louisa County is located 45 miles northwest of Richmond, 35 miles east of Charlottesville and 40 miles west of Fredericksburg.
PRIMARY FUNCTION: To coordinate the general delivery of special education services as required through Federal and State regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree and K-12 administrative endorsement.
- Minimum of 5 years special education teaching experience.
- Knowledge of Federal and State law and regulations as related to special education.
- Knowledge of IEP requirements and procedures.
- Possess leadership qualities and personal characteristics necessary to work effectively with students, teachers and parents.
- Demonstrate strong instructional leadership.
REPORTS TO: Director of Pupil Personnel Services
LENGTH OF CONTRACT: Twelve months in accordance with the adopted School Board calendar.
SALARY RANGE: $75,617 - $111,458
