Overview: The Procurement Specialist works collaboratively with the Director, Pricing and Procurement to ensure Louisiana Association for the Blind’s (L.A.B.) products are fairly and competitively priced based on the market and updated regularly.

Overview: The Procurement Specialist works collaboratively with the Director, Pricing and Procurement to ensure Louisiana Association for the Blind’s (L.A.B.) products are fairly and competitively priced based on the market and updated regularly.
Duties Include But Are Not Limited To
- Create and manage a plan for researching Essentially the Same (ETS) products for our products.
- Report and scrub competitor/distributor websites for ETS.
- Research our product market baskets for new products compatible with our current capabilities.
- Submit ETS claims to National Industries for the Blind (NIB) via the ETS portal.
- Create and maintain a database with ETS submissions.
- Assist the Director with creating and submitting Product Development Plans (PDPs) when necessary.
- Assist the Director with creating and proposing Federal/State Procurement Bids when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma, with at least two years of relatable experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a heavy focus on Excel.
- Strong communications, team building, strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with people who are blind and/or disabled.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Prior knowledge of the AbilityOne Program and Procurement knowledge is a plus.
