Louisiana Bridge Builders (“LBB”) is designing and building the new I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge in Lake Charles, Louisiana (USA) for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD). LBB will also be responsible for the reconstruction of interstate highway, various structures, ramps, and approaches for a 5.5 mile stretch between I-210 West End and Ryan Street.

POSITION PURPOSE/SUMMARY
The BIM (Building Information Modeling) Modeler is committed to supporting Louisiana Bridge Builders by providing drafting and design support during the planning, design, and construction of the project.
LOCATION
This position is based in Lake Charles, LA.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports on the BIM Modelling portion of the Project.
- Supports on the Quantity Takeoff activities of the Project.
- Supports construction during the execution stage.
- Support in the execution stage (project assistance team to resolve nonconformities, RFI with designers and unexpected events during construction).
- Collaborates within the technical department, as well as with other departments.
- Guarantees the correct transmission of design information to the entire project team.
- Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
At a minimum, the BIM Modeler must have an associates degree in drafting or equivalent field of study along with 3 years of drafting experience in addition to proven proficiency of REVIT (proven proficiency with other BIM software may be considered) or a high school diploma, or equivalent, along with 5 years of modelling experience in addition to proven proficiency of REVIT. Experience working in the construction industry is preferred.
