THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking experienced Diesel and Gas Engine Service Technicians to join our Bossier City, Louisiana operations.
YEARLY POTENTIAL
60,000 - $120,000 yearly
The yearly range indicated is representative of the hourly rate, including typical overtime. This range is based on a technician’s experience, skills, education and training. For technicians, overtime is typically calculated on a daily basis after 8 hours worked.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS :
- Expert knowledge of Caterpillar natural gas engines ranging from G3300 - G3600, electrical systems, controls, etc.
- Understanding full functionality of Adem III & Adem IV controls
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical and electrical failure analysis
- Fully understand the performance of Caterpillar Gas Compression engines
JOB REQUIREMENTS :
Maintain a safe and well-organized work environment with respect to co-workers and customersFill out a detailed JSA that follows Louisiana Cat standardsPerform all essential duties requested by SupervisorDemonstrate expert troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical issuesPerform any scheduled or unscheduled maintenance without any technical assistanceCreate a detailed report of initial and final conclusionsProvide professional customer service and effectively communicate issues or findings to customerLead a team performing Major Maintenance or Overhauls in the fieldTune & adjust engine for proper emissions regulations and fuel efficiencyEfficiently utilize Cat SIS WEB & ETInstall Factory Passwords and Flash FilesPerform Engine AlignmentPHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.Ability to occasionally lift 50 pounds from floor to chest.Ability to reach and use the arms within a full range of motion in order to retrieve stocked parts.Ability to endure prolonged stooping, kneeling, crouching and squatting while performing mechanical operations.Must be able to exert push / pull forces with the arms in order to use various wrenches and tools.Must be able to endure prolonged forward and overhead arm positions while performing mechanical operations.Must be able to use the hands to grasp hand tools and parts.Must have the ability to climb onto and operate equipment.Must have the ability to operate and maintain a field service vehicle with GVW of less than 26,000 lbs.JOB FACTS
