This role focuses on recruiting top talent for heavy equipment service, parts, and sales, including both hourly and salaried positions. Essential Functions
- Full-Cycle Recruitment: Manage end-to-end recruitment and hiring for heavy equipment service, sales, parts, and support roles, covering both hourly and salaried positions.
- Candidate Sourcing: Utilize innovative sourcing strategies to identify and engage qualified candidates, including job boards, social media, networking, and referrals.
- Job Postings: Write compelling job descriptions and post openings across multiple platforms to attract top talent.
- Screening & Selection: Review resumes, conduct phone interviews, and present prescreened candidates to hiring managers.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide consultative support.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and organized candidate records in Paylocity, the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) as well as reports/spreadsheets.
- Market Insights: Stay informed about industry trends, talent markets, and best practices in recruiting. Assist with development of recruitment strategies to achieve required staffing levels.
- Employer Branding: Represent Louisiana Cat at job fairs, community events, and other career events to promote our employer brand.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field required (or equivalent experience).
- 1–3 years of recruiting experience, preferably in heavy equipment, service, or sales industries.
- Experience with sourcing techniques, including LinkedIn, Indeed, and other platforms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), ATS, and HR software (Paylocity preferred).
- Skilled in multitasking, prioritizing, and maintaining confidentiality in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Professional, team-oriented, and capable of independent work.
- Knowledge of labor laws and regulations relevant to recruiting and hiring.
- Work Schedule: Monday through Friday; 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
- Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, or sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to process paperwork and utilize office equipment (including personal computer, phone, copiers, etc.) A large portion of the day is spend communicating orally in person and by phone. Normal sight or corrected vision is required to read documents and use standard computer terminals. The employee must be able to occasionally lift 25 pounds from floor to chest
- Work Environment: Work is primarily in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
