This position will be filled as one in a series: Digital Designer I, II or III, depending on applicant qualifications. Only one position will be filled.
The Digital Designer (I, II or III) will be responsible for assisting the development of interactive training modules including eLearning, Simulations, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and other mixed reality platforms. Working with team members, the candidate will develop storyboards, prototypes, and establish guidelines for projects by authoring effective copy, audio, and video scripts that breakdown complex processes into engaging, interactive exercises and practice experiences.
The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of learning theories, previous working experience in training development, and a design focused on heavy gamification methodology as well as a curious and investigative nature to apply new principles to training and exceed client expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Mentor the other Digital Designers on the team (Digital Designer III only)
  • Assist with storyboarding and creating prototypes
  • Collaborate with clients and subject matter experts
  • Apply effective written and oral communication skills
  • Research and advise on delivery platforms
  • Create visually engaging and immersive experiences
  • Develop interactive content for eLearning modules using tools, such as Captivate and Articulate in various LMSs
  • Develop assessments, tests, or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the course
  • Manage multiple projects of varying complexities and delivery methods
  • Meet deadlines while working well under pressure
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Education:
Digital Designer I:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, a related degree, OR at least 3 years of relevant work experience
Digital Designer II, III:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, OR a related degree
Required Experience:
Digital Designer II:
  • 3 years’ experience with a strong understanding of UX/UI, authoring, and interactive training development.
Digital Designer III:
  • 6 years’ experience with a strong foundation in authoring, UI/UX, and interactive training development.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Digital Designer I:
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your work (may include a strong understanding of visual communication, UX/UI, authoring tools such as Captivate and Articulate, visual gamification, interactive development and learning methodologies, as well as excellent research and analytical skills)
Digital Designer II, III:
  • Strong visual gamification learning methodology knowledge base, understanding of authoring tools, such as Captivate and Articulate, excellent research and analytical skills when working with client processes, experience in virtual and augmented reality as training platforms, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Other requirements for all positions:
    Ability to multi-task and coordinate activities to ensure timely delivery of work product.
    Ability to travel and drive own or other vehicle to various locations as needed.
    Ability to carry up to 20 pounds on an as needed basis.
Preferred Experience:
Digital Designer I:
  • Experience with web-based products, AR/VR, interactive design, coding, or programming skills
Digital Designer II:
  • Experience with web-based products, motion graphics, AR/VR, interactive design, or programming skills for training materials is desired.
Digital Designer III:
  • Expertise with web-based products, motion graphics, AR/VR, interactive design, or programming skills for training materials is desired.
