The Department of Social Work within the Gallaspy Family College of Education and Human Development at Northwestern State University of Louisiana seeks applicants for a 12-month unclassified / faculty position of Department Head with academic rank / tenure track. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications :
Applicants must hold a Doctorate in Social Work (DSW or PhD) or a Doctorate in a related field with a master's degree in social work from a CSWE-accredited program with licensed or licensable in the state of Louisiana at the LMSW or LCSW level or a master's degree in social work from a CSWE accredited program with licensed or licensable in the state of Louisiana at the LMSW or LCSW level. Applicants must have at least one year of administrative experience in academic settings. Applicants must have knowledge about the CSWE accreditation process. Applicants should have teaching experience at the BSW and / or MSW level and scholarly production to warrant an appointment as assistant professor or higher. Applicants should provide evidence of skills in teaching, recruitment, personnel management, fiscal management, scheduling of classes, student retention, assessment processes, accreditation, and current knowledge of web-based course management systems.
