This is a PRN Technologist position located in the Pathology Department.
Minimum Qualifications :
Either of the following will qualify :
A baccalaureate degree in medical technology or clinical laboratory science.
A baccalaureate degree with sixteen semester hours in the biological sciences which includes three semester hours in microbiology, sixteen semester hours in chemistry which includes three semester hours in organic or biochemistry, three semester hours in mathematics; and one year of clinical training in a clinical laboratory.
NOTE :
Any college hours or degree must be from an accredited college or university.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT :
Possession of a current Clinical Laboratory Scientist Generalist or Specialist license issued by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners as required by law based upon the duties of the position.

Do you have possession of a current Louisiana state Medical Technologist (MT) license issued by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners as required by law?
Do you have possession of a current American Medical Technologist (AMT) or American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification?
Do you have a baccalaureate degree with sixteen semester hours in the biological sciences which includes three semester hours in microbiology, sixteen semester hours in chemistry which includes three semester hours in organic or biochemistry, and three semester hours in mathematics?
