Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Two years of the required experience for the following minimum qualifications must have been on-the-job experience:
Four years of experience in the building construction trades; maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment; building construction; building maintenance; or construction, maintenance, or repair of roads or bridges; OR
Completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering plus two years of experience in the building construction trades; maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment; building construction; building maintenance; or construction, maintenance, or repair of roads or bridges; OR
Twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, engineering, or any combination of these courses plus two years of experience in the building construction trades; maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment; building construction; building maintenance; or construction, maintenance, or repair of roads or bridges.

To supervise foremen who oversee a wide variety of facility maintenance and repair operations at a state agency.

Supervises and coordinates a large multi-craft maintenance shop.
Supervises foremen whose crews conduct maintenance and repairs of a multi-craft nature on job site locations.
Prepares estimates of general repairs.
Inspects work for completeness and quality.
Supervises the repair, maintenance, and renovations and energy management systems in all buildings.
Maintains close and open communication with higher level personnel on problems, short and long term requirements, priority changes, and provides input for long range departmental plans and systems requirements within all buildings.
Prepares specifications for equipment and reviews drawings and specifications for new installations and/or modification of existing facilities.
Contacts and works closely with equipment and systems representatives to insure maximum reliability of new installations, modifications, repairs, and overhauls.
